Gediminas Karkauskas is a pianist who traverses both the jazz and classical worlds. In this performance, he is joined by double bassist Cormac O’Brien to bring audiences on a musical journey of contemporary original compositions and jazz favorites. They perform selections from Karkauskas’ Lost Suite, including the title work and “Taking Summer,” as well as original interpretations of jazz favorites including Strayhorn’s “Lush Life” and Rodgers and Hart’s “My Funny Valentine.”
